As i understood, it should be a comedy, but during the whole movie only 3 times I could hardly smile…Most of the smiling was about how stupid a movie can be…It is a movie that you can watch only with a girl, but being busy doing something else, especially in a cinema :) The idea of the movie isn't so bad, but the scenery is totally disappointing !!! Some "jokes" are really disgusting, and in stead of smiling you start screaming furiously !!! If it is a movie for children, I don't know what positive they can get from it. The only thing that was really funny, in a "Shrek" way, it were the monsters from the movie. I counted 3 or 4 moments when somebody can smile. For an hour long movie, that's called comedy it's to little to spend some money for cinema!

Bridge to Terebithia is more of a movie for adults. It's slowing moving and from what I've seen, kids like fast, action-filled movies which "Bridge" isn't. I read the book when I was in 4th grade, and loved it. When I went to see the movie, I expected it to be unfaithful to the book, from the trailer, but it's not. it's pretty much exactly like the book. There are no magical journeys or fantastic kingdoms, only the pure power of imagination and hope mixed together for a tragic yet heartwarmingly beautiful story. Yeah, ugh. A kid would have more fun watching an old movie than this. (No intention to mean that old movies are boring, I love them!) Even I didn't like it. The movie made everything seem more sugary-sweetish and modern, which the book wasn't. The book is much better, in my opinion. Read the book and watch the movie and compare for yourself.

Usually, i am pretty forgiving when it comes to rating movies, but this movie deserves no forgiveness. This movie is utter nonsense. Like most other baseball movies, it does cover the idea of never giving up no matter how bleak the odds look, but unlike other baseball movies, the message just does not ring true. The message about not giving up is not a constant during the movie, and is instead replaced with slapstick comedy, and booger and fart jokes. This movie could have been very funny, but instead, fails at delivering time and again. The animation is fairly decent, and it is a clever idea for a story, but in the end, every part of this movie falls thru. All in all, not even a good movie for "just the kids". Oh, and if you are a Chicago Cubs fan (which I am, seeing as that I am from the windy city) there is a TON of slandering in this movie, making the Cubs out to be cheaters, thieves, and idiots. If you are a Cubs fan, STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. This movie will just make you mad.

Chick flick, I know. But don't let that stop you. My first instinct when I saw the preview was, "Here's a real movie." And I was not disappointed. I was amazed at just how great an actress Jojo turned out to be. In contrast to Hilary Duff and Lindsey Lohan, she may be one of the few teenage actresses who has a great prospect for an acting future. Plus, she's really cute :) Sarah Paxton is also amazing, and Emma Roberts also does well. I thought that Raymond was slightly stereotypical, and I I wished there weren't so much giggling, but hey, whatever floats the filmmaker's boats. It does start out very flirty, so "shallow" that my heart sank as I began to lose hope. However, it quickly grew into a beautiful, sentimental story of beauty, friendship, and love. Two thumbs up.

When I first seen the ads for Eragon I could't wait to see it. Now I am glad I waited for it to be released on DVD as it was disappointing. It's starts off all good and you think Great but then the story drags on so slowly you kind of lose interest. The fight and battle scenes aren't all that great. You see maybe the first part and then it's all over and cut to another scene. There is a massive build up to the final battle of the movie but even that is nothing special. The special effects, costumes and characters are great but I think the movie could have been done a whole lot better than the way it has been. Many of the scenes are very reminiscent of LOTR trilogy. I am hoping that the other two books in this trilogy will be made into movies as the ending left a lot of questions and seemed to stop half way through the story. Hopefully though, if this happens, they will be filmed a lot better than Eragon.
