I really appreciated the film. I think it has quite a few layers. I was surprised not to read any comments highlighting Lionel's line about "real freak", which I think is key to one of the underlying themes. The only thing that ruined a "moment" for me was the goof when they caught the boom in the shot. The fact that this happens during one of the most dramatic scenes in the story was a rude jolt back to the technical reality- how this can happen in a movie with a budget at least large enough to pay Kidman, boggles the mind. But the story and the unfolding of the characters was well done. It is an imaginary portrait and some people seem to forget this part. I also thought the music did its job well - it emphasized and it moved.

Beautiful costumes, homes, and the "drop dead gorgeous" scenery of the English Lake Country. Shows manners ,respect for others, and a life style that seems to be missing in much of the world today. A movie that the entire family can enjoy together. Not only does this show how Peter and his fellow animal characters came to be,but it also tells of Miss Potter's concern for the preservation of England's beautiful countryside.Young Beatrix is delightful and unusually independent for late nineteenth century England without being disrespectful to her family and friends. It is fascinating to see how her personality develops as she grows up.An old fashioned jewel of a film that shows that beautiful storytelling and good taste is never out of style. Prepare to be charmed!

When i saw this film i was stunned by Mathew Perry's performance as Ron Clark. its a great performance with heart in the part and perry really shows us how talented he is with a complete change of role than the role he played in friends as chandler(which he also was really good as) but here perry shows us that he is able to play a grownup role and i wouldn't be surprised if Perry will get nominated for an Oscar in the near future. the movie was mediocre hitting the normal points and similarities like freedom writers(even though this is watchable) but again its Perry's charisma that really makes this film a fun film and shouldn't go unnoticed.

I just saw this film last night at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) This is one of the best, if not best, rock docs I have seen. The three year journey that these three talented ladies have gone through is amazing. A stand up for yourself and your country movie if there ever was one. The production quality is A+ and I bought their new album today..the first one I ever did buy, just to say thank you to the chicks for standing their ground. The archival news footage and commentary from right wingers is too funny given what we all know now about the lies about Iraq and the dishonesty of the Bush administration. The theater was packed by the way and the audience erupted in applause several times during the film… I will be telling everyone about this film and I hope it gets into wide release. It needs to be seen.

OK, I'll admit the only reason why I saw this film was that Daniel Craig was in this, but this film has an all-star cast. Everybody acted out their roles superbly. Toby Jones was a lot more convincing as Capote a lot better than Phillip Seymour Hoffman did in the other movie version of the famed author. The all-star cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Sandra Bullock, Jeff Daniels, Peter Bogdanovich and even Gwyneth Paltrow makes a brief appearance. Daniel Craig was superb and very versatile in this film. He even looked pretty good with his hair died black, although I prefer him as his usual blond self. My favorite part in the film was when he played the guitar and actually sang. Not a bad singing voice he has.
